Last weekend, all participants experienced an unforgettable splitboard weekend including catboarding support, splitboard runs and hot tub sessions at the elooa SPLITBOARD BASE CAMP presented by K2 in our dreamlike location in Maseben in South Tyrol.

Equipped with the brand new K2 X elooa Limited Edition Splitboard Marauder as well as avalanche safety gear from BCA, the participants first enjoyed an exclusive cat ride up to the almost 2300m high mountain hut, our base for splitboard-tours on the following days. After moving into the rooms and a kitschy sunset, a delicious South Tyrolean 3- course menu and the first hot tub session followed.

Saturday morning was unexpected with bright sunshine and untouched mountain peaks. However, with a high risk of avalanches, valuable knowledge was first imparted by our experienced mountain and snowboard guides during the ascent before the first descent followed according to the conditions. After a short lunch break, another ascent called and then a long funny group run right down to the hut. A well-deserved dinner awaited us there, followed by further hot tub sessions first with a glowing sunset and later under a magical starry sky.

Sunday morning started with a theory lesson on the tense avalanche situation and immediately afterwards with practical exercises in the snow. A snow profile impressively illustrated the current situation for all participants and unfortunately no summit could be climbed. For this, a small race started through light larch forests back to the starting point in the valley in order to enjoy a delicious Italian pizza as quickly as possible. There, smiling faces recapped this dreamlike weekend and made sure: „Thanks elooa for the great camp and Servus until next time!“

Another absolutely unforgettable weekend came to an end and we are already looking forward to the next elooa SPLITBOARD CAMPS - maybe also with you!
