The elooa SPLITBOARD EXPLORER CAMP presented by K2 SNOWBOARDING und MARMOT was the last Splitboard Camp of this years winter season. There the participants experienced an unique mountain adventure: splitboarding and overnight stay in expedition tents above 2000m!

With hot summer temperatures, a great crew of adventurers started on Friday noon with their camping gear into an unforgettable weekend. With K2 Splitboards under their feet and Marmot expedition material on their back they mastered a three hour hike to our camp base just above 2000m. Straight after arrival the sleeping place had to be prepared, the tents set up and a cozy log fire started so the first night in the backcountry could come up.

With the first warming sun rays on Saturday morning, everybody jumped out of his sleeping bag and enjoyed a healthy breakfast under the warm spring sun. Subsequent a splitboard tour followed as far as the snow conditions allowed. After the run down all interested joined an avalanche safety training and all motivated hit a backcountry kicker under the hot afternoon sun. An unforgettable day ended in our camp base at the log fire with fresh drinks, delicious food and later with warming hot wine punch.

After a calm night right after breakfast, the tents had to be broken down and everything packed together. The splitboards were strapped on again and an endless long run down into the green valley followed. After returning the testmaterial from K2, Marmot and BCA, smiling faces recapped this adventures weekend: „Thanks elooa for the great organization and Servus until the next Splitboard Camp!“

Herewith the sixth elooa Splitboard season finished off successfully last weekend. At five elooa SPLITBOARD CAMPS and two SPLITBOARD ADVENTURES presented by K2 SNOWBOARDING all newbies could check out splitboarding and all advanced campers could enjoy even unique highlights like a bivouac experience in the backcountry or high alpine glacier tours.
