The elooa MALDIVES SURF ADVENTURE presented by BLUE TOMATO went down in October with 13 lucky surfers. After almost two years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we could finally start again in the tropical surfing paradise Maldives.

The exclusive surf adventure took place on our surfboat Flying Fish and started in the very south to extend our surfing time. The domestic flight went directly from Malé to the southern Huvadhoo Atoll. There the boat trip started right away with numerous sessions in a large selection of world class surf spots such as Blue Bowls, Tiger Stripes, Love Charmes and Five Islands just to name a few. In the first week we had perfect surf conditions with 30 degrees warm water and all the waves to ourselves. Perfect rights, lefts, barrels, easy waves... everything a surfer's heart desires. In addition, beautiful reefs, crystal clear water, dolphins, colorful fish and turtles in the line-up of flawless waves. At least three extensive surf sessions a day in between delicious food and some relaxation. In the evening, of course, everyone was super tired and simply fell into bed, overjoyed. Surf, eat, sleep, repeat!

After a week at the Huvadhoo Atoll, we slowly had to set off north where, after a long crossing, the Laamu Atoll with the legendary wave Ying Yang was on the program. A powerful wave that demanded everything from us but also made us grin! In addition to surfing, the incredible reef also offered perfect snorkeling conditions for all guests. Being in the water with turtles and sharks made for some adrenaline - but our experienced captain assured us that there was nothing to fear. After two days in the Laamu Atoll we went on to the Meemu Atoll with the wave Muli and Finnimas and after three days we continued to the well-known surfing sports of the South and North Malé Atoll. In the second week the waves were a bit smaller but always with perfect conditions. On every day of our 12 day boat trip we surfed perfect waves and got to know 4 different atolls and countless different waves. Just incredible! During the crossings there was a lot of fishing and we were also successful. Our cook made up fresh sashimi from one of the catches and a delicious dinner with grilled fish followed.

An unforgettable surfing experience came to an end and it was great to be back in the Maldives after such a long absence. A big thank you to all participants and the boat crew for the great time.
