Last weekend, all participants experienced an unforgettable splitboard weekend including catboarding support, splitboard powderruns and jacuzzi sessions at the elooa SPLITBOARD BASE CAMP presented by K2 in our new dreamlike location in Maseben in South Tyrol.

Equipped with the brand new K2 Splitboard Marauder as well as avalanche safety gear from BCA BACKCOUNTRY ACCESS, the participants first enjoyed a cat ride up to the almost 2300m high mountain hut, our base for splitboard-tours on the following days. This was followed by a powderrun through light forest back to the valley and another cat ride up before everyone enjoyed a delicious 3 course dinner and the first jacuzzi session.

Perfect conditions with bright sunshine and untracked peaks around us were waiting on Saturday morning for various tours in combination with cat and splitboard. During the hike up everybody received valuable tips from our experienced mountain- and snowboard-guides. A great run followed through varied terrain and untouched powder down to the valley. After an easy cat ride up and a short lunch break, another hike followed. Afterwards another great run led us down to the valley and back with the cat directly to the hut. A well-deserved dinner awaited us, followed by further jacuzzi sessions first with a glowing sunset and later under a magical starry sky.

Sunday morning was unfortunately rainy and no summit could be climbed. For this, a small race started back to the starting point in the valley in order to enjoy a delicious Italian pizza as quickly as possible. There, smiling faces recapped this dreamlike weekend and made sure: „Thanks elooa for the great camp and Servus until next time!“

Another absolutely unforgettable weekend came to an end and we are already looking forward to the next elooa SPLITBOARD CAMPS - maybe also with you!
