Our elooa SPLITBOARD EXPLORER CAMP presented by K2 and MARMOT was the last Splitboard Camp of this years winter season. On the last weekend of March the participants experienced an unforgettable mountain adventure: splitboarding and camping in expedition tents above 2000m!


With springlike temperatures a great crew of adventurers started on Friday noon with their camping gear into an unforgettable weekend. With K2 Splitboards under their feet and Marmot expedition gear on their back they mastered a three hour hike to our camp base just above 2000m. Straight after arrival the sleeping place had to be prepared, the tents set up and a cozy log fire started so the first night in the backcountry could come up.


With the first warming sun rays on Saturday morning, everybody jumped out of his sleeping bag and enjoyed a healthy breakfast under the warm spring sun. Subsequent a dream-like splitboard tour followed through fresh untracked snow up to an almost 2300m high peak which offered a breathtaking view over the surrounding peaks. After a well deserved lunch break, a mega run through fresh powder followed. After that even a quarterpipe session happened in our camp base. An unforgettable day ended with a dreamlike sunset and a dinner at the log fire with warming hot wine punch.


After another frosty night, right after breakfast, the tents had to be broken down and everything packed together. The splitboards were strapped on again and an endless long run down into the green valley followed. After returning the testmaterial from K2, Marmot and BCA, smiling faces recapped this adventures mountain weekend: „Thanks elooa for the great organization and Servus until the next Splitboard Camp!“



Herewith the eighth elooa Splitboard Season presented by K2 finished off successfully last weekend. Again this winter numerous newbies could check out Splitboarding under professional guidance and all advanced could enjoy even unique highlights like a bivouac experience, high alpine glacier tours or exotic regions like Svanetia, Japan, Iceland and Lofoten. elooa says Thank You to all participants and partners for a successful winter-season and is already looking forward to the winter 2019/20.
