elooa offers you a new adventure to Japan this winter and makes your dreams of Japanese powder come true. You can also watch the famous snow monkeys bathing in hot springs and even experience a catboarding run!


Thanks to elooa Pro Guiding with more than twenty years of experience in the Land of the Rising Sun, you can now explore the snow and culture of Japan's main island of Honshu and travel with us on the famous Shinkansen high-speed train in a climate-friendly way.Thanks to the extensive ski areas with their numerous piste options and top snow quality, this adventure is also suitable for freeride beginners with little experience.

After arrival and meeting at Tokyo´s Haneda Airport we will travel together straight with the Shinkansen to the nation's largest mountain resort Shiga Kogen and move into a great hotel directly at the slopes. In the next days we will ride the newly opened Yakebi Valley which is the place to enjoy powder to the fullest with it´s endless runs in this bowl-shaped terrain lined with trees.

After 3 days enjoying the snow by ourself we will check-out from our hotel and visit the world famous Snow Monkeys bathing in Onsen water near Nagano. This is the only place in the world to see this. Later in the afternoon we will jump on a bullet train again and travel at high speed in 3,5h to the northern part of Honshu, the Tohoku region, which is know for lot´s of snow and no lift lines.

There we are moving again into a fantastic hotel directly at the slopes which is even recognized as an Onsen heritage site. The resort Shizukuishi offers us in the next 4 days long runs, plenty of variety and excellent snow quality due to the cold dry air blowing from the north. We´ve also added one Catboarding run on an abandoned ski hill to experience this adventure as well.

After that it’s time to say goodbye to the snow and take a 3 hour Shinkansen train back to Tokyo for a last portion of unforgettable sightseeing and shopping.



During our 11 days adventure we will get to know the Japanese culture with its mega cities, hot springs, culinary specialties, technology craze and their proverbial hospitality, next to endless runs through superb quality snow of course.
