This winter, we will once again kick off the freeride and splitboard season together at our big elooa BACKCOUNTRY OPENING on the Kaunertal Glacier. Here, everything will revolve around the topic of backcountry!

Because regardless of whether you reach the top comfortably by lift or under your own steam with a splitboard, we share our passion during the subsequent descent in powder snow and rely on the same safety parameters.

That's why we now offer you several opportunities to refresh your skills at the start of the season and improve them with the help of our state-certified coaches and guides. You can choose between a FREERIDE WORKSHOP with lift, where we focus on freeriding technique, or a SPLITBOARD WORKSHOP with muscle power, where you can learn the basics of splitboarding. In both workshops, we teach and reinforce all the important elements related to avalanches on the one hand and all the tools related to glaciers on the other.

In addition, you have the opportunity to test all the necessary equipment free of charge under expert guidance. Whether it's BCA Backcountry Access avalanche safety equipment or the latest NITRO freeride boards or splitboard sets. You can select all of this in the next step.

Thanks to the snow-sure location on the Kaunertal Glacier, ideal conditions await all workshops, and depending on snow conditions, we will ride on perfectly groomed slopes or make our first powder turns of the season next door in fresh deep snow.

On Friday evening at 5:00 p.m., we will meet at our exclusive base camp with sauna and steam bath in the valley. After check-in and test equipment distribution, a 3-course menu awaits, followed by a welcome evening together. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, we will head straight to the Kaunertal Glacier and, depending on the workshop you have chosen, we will improve your skills and provide you with valuable knowledge in a theoretical keynote lecture in the evening.

So, whether you're a beginner or an advanced rider, this special weekend gives you the opportunity to start the winter season with professional support, get to know us, and hit the slopes fully prepared.
