Join us at Kitzsteinhorn as we kick off the 2026/27 snowboard season together. The Season Awakening presented by Nitro Snowboards is more than just an event—it’s where the snowboard community comes together to celebrate the start of winter. A weekend filled with great riding, inspiring people, brand-new gear, world-class snowboard movies, and the excitement of another unforgettable season ahead.

Saturday is all about getting back on your snowboard. Enjoy your first turns of the season, explore the freshly opened terrain park, and take the opportunity to demo the latest Nitro Snowboards for free. Whether you’re carving your first turns of the winter or already lapping the park, Kitzsteinhorn offers the perfect setting to get back into snowboard mode. Throughout the day, you’ll also find on-mountain activations, community sessions, and Cash for Tricks events adding even more energy to the mountain.

As the lifts close, the experience continues with THE AWAKENING—an evening dedicated to everything that makes snowboarding special. Expect premieres of the latest international snowboard films, inspiring talks, live music, DJs, interactive activities, great food and drinks, and plenty of opportunities to connect with riders, brands, filmmakers, and friends from across the snowboard world. Whether you’re chasing powder every winter or simply love the culture, this is where the community comes together.

Sunday is all about riding together. Join our elooa Community Ride and spend the day on the mountain with the elooa crew, international Nitro team riders, and fellow snowboarders. No competition, no pressure—just good laps, good people, and the perfect way to welcome a new winter.

With its high-alpine glacier terrain, Kitzsteinhorn provides the ideal backdrop for opening the season. Expect well-prepared slopes, the first terrain park of the winter, and - if we’re lucky - even a few fresh powder turns. Our accommodation in Kaprun offers the perfect base for an unforgettable weekend of snowboarding, community, and pure stoke.

The Season Awakening presented by Nitro Snowboards marks the beginning of another winter together—a weekend to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, celebrate snowboard culture, and build excitement for everything the season has in store.
